Nabco trainees- hunger is real, pay us our due arrears Mr. President
Nation Builders Corps, NABCO Trainees have made up to hit the streets to Protest the delayed in payment of their due arrears.
The government’s decision to extend their service duration was not accompanied by the requisite financial commitment, hence trainees are not paid in the last 9 months.

Some trainees recently resorted to social media to demand payment of their stipend arrears, claiming that their lives had become miserable. Others still living and thriving under the shelter and finances of their parents.
According to reports,they are owed nine months arrears, but the government has not paid them, prompting the protest.

The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme is a government initiative to address graduate unemployment to solve social problems. The focus of the initiative will be solving public service delivery in health, education, agriculture, technology, governance, and driving revenue mobilization and collection.
The objectives of the programme are to:
Provide temporary employment to unemployed graduates
Improve skills and employability for the transition from programme to permanent employment
Improve public service delivery
Improve on government revenue mobilization
To provide needed infrastructure to improve access to basic public services
